• How long have you owned French Bulldogs?
We purchased our first Frenchie, "Chevy", in January 1991, and have been hooked on this wonderful breed ever since.
  • How long have you been breeding French Bulldogs?
Our first Frenchie litter was whelped late 1991, and consisted of one female puppy, a brindle girl named Sagan, that we kept, of course. So, we've been raising Frenchies well over 15 years now.
  • When did you produce your first Champion French Bulldog?
Actually, Sagan was bred in the spring of 1993, and produced a litter of 3 brindles. Two of those three puppies, "Joker" and "Fran" made it to the show ring, and both finished their championships.
  • Do you sell your puppies to show homes only?
Quite the contrary. Most of our puppies are sold to families whose only desire is to have a healthy, beautiful, faithful companion. Great people that have no interest in showing or breeding their Frenchie, but want a "pet" that conforms to the standard of the breed, and that comes from a gene pool of sound, health screened dogs.
  • Do you require your companion pups to be spayed or neutered?
ABSOLUTELY! All of our companion Frenchies are sold on a contractual agreement that stipulates that the dog must be altered, and that AKC limited registration papers will not be transferred to the buyer until we receive written verification from the buyer's vet that the dog has been surgically altered.
  • Do you sell pups to show homes?
OCCASIONALLY! we will sell a show prospect puppy to a serious show home. Showing dogs is a huge commitment and requires a big investment of a person's time and money. The sport can be an enjoyable and rewarding hobby, but certainly is not for everyone. Untold weekends away from home, countless miles traveling to and from dog shows, hours upon hours of training to prepare your dog for their show career, and lots and lots of money to burn on the way to the finish line.
  • Do you sell pups for "breeding" only?
ABSOLUTELY NOT! Our babies are sold either as "companions" or "show prospects". Companion pups are sold with AKC limited registration, are not for breeding, and must be altered. Show prospects are sold with AKC full registration, but with certain restrictions regarding breeding entitlements.
  • Do you sell your pups with a written sales contract?
ALWAYS! Every Bullistik K9 is sold with a written contract.
  • Do you have a health guarantee?
YES! All puppies are sold with a written health guarantee.
  • Do you microchip your puppies?
YES and NO! We used to microchip every puppy born at Bullistik whether they remained here with us or were placed with a new family.  However, we soon realized that the new puppy owners were not taking the necessary steps to change the microchip registration information after they purchased their puppy from Bullistik.  The purpose of microchipping is to have the dog positively identified and for the AVID database to have correct ownership information in the event the dog is lost or stolen, so the puppy/dog can be returned to its rightful owner.  We have decided that it is best for all concerned for the new puppy owner(s) to have his/her own Veterinarian microchip their Frenchie so that the correct ownership information is recorded in the Pet Recovery Database.  For their protection, we continue to microchip and register any Bullistik frogdog that stays in our possession.
  • Are your puppies vet checked before they are sold?
YES! All of our puppies are examined by the veterinarian and are issued a health certificate before they are placed with their new family.
  • At what age do you allow your pups to go to their new home?
They must be a minimum of TEN WEEKS old before they can be placed with their new family.
Will you ship a puppy to us if necessary?
YES! Many of our puppies are sold to families that do not live locally. We routinely ship pups to their new owners using American Airlines Priority Parcel Service. We only ship using direct flights, priority service, and when temperatures are safe for travel.
  • What if we want to fly to Texas to pick up our puppy?
You are welcome to do just that. Many of our puppy buyers prefer to pick their pups up in person, so they can fly in cabin with them on the flight home.
  • Will you provide references if we request them?
ABSOLUTELY! If you are interested in a Bullistik puppy and would like to contact individuals that have purchased puppies from us in the past, we will gladly provide email addresses to members of our "extended family".
