Meet
TEN, our 27 pound cobby chunk that is all dog...........square,
stout, sweet, and sound as any Frenchie you'll ever meet.
TEN is one of our bred by kids and a multiple champion producer
of sound and beautiful offspring.
This
young man earned the honor of TOP DOG here at Bullistik.
"Ten" was born December 7, 1996 and it was apparent
by the time he was 4 weeks old that he was destined for the show
ring and would soon be ruler of his roost! He was the first
from his litter of 5 to climb over the 4 inch ledge of the whelping
box to 'freedom'. Always inquisitive and always looking
to see what he could get into next.
By
the time he was 4 months old, the little monster was kicking his
back feet at me like a bull setting his sites on his target, readying
himself for the charge! Nothing frightened him and nothing
stopped him, literally 'the bull in the china shop'.
At
just 6 months old, Ten and I went to Texarkana for his first dog
show and he earned his first points that weekend under Judge Joan
Alexander.
Ten
absolutely loved the show ring and always played to the crowd and
the judges, so it didn't take him long to gather the needed points
to become a Champion.
He
finished at just 9 months of age here in Texas, and owner-handled
all the way.
He
was not the only one from his litter that exceled in the show ring.
In fact, he and his littermate sister, Ch.
Tea-D's-N-Tera's Night Jasmine
were
competing in the show ring at the same time and on several occasions
they took the points in Dogs and Bitches at the same show.
Jasmine
was shown by co-owner, Joe Napolitano (photo to the left), and finished
her Championship on the weekend of her 9 month birthday.
Ten
finished the following weekend in Tyler, Texas under Dr. Robert
Berndt (photo above).
Ten
and Jasmine's litter brother, Multiple
Champion and Group Winning Tea-D's-N-Tera's Nixon
is living in Mexico with Jose Nunez and family and was handled exclusively
by the youngest of the Nunez family, Jose, a top junior handler
in his country.
In
September, 2000, young Jose traveled to Buffalo, NY with his family
to attend the FBDCA National Specialty and compete in Junior Showmanship
competition. He walked away with the BEST
JUNIOR award!
There
was another cream brother in this litter, Tea-D's-N-Tera's
Hats Off To U,
and Stetson was off to a promising start in the show ring winning
his first 4 point major in Texarkana his first weekend out and the
same weekend that brother, Ten, picked up his first win from the
puppy class.
Tragically,
Stetson lost his life to a senseless accident just a few weeks after
his show debut in Texarkana.

As
you might imagine, I am very proud of this litter and their accomplishments,
but most grateful to share my life with such a wonderful dog as
the "TEN MAN".
He has always been a pleasure to live with and has made a significant
contribution to my breeding program by passing on his good looks,
sound structure, and winning spirit to his offspring.
Ten
is retired from the breeding program now, has been neutered, and
is living with one of his first born sons and a great family in
South Texas.
He
will always have a very special place in our hearts and has made
a lasting impression in our breeding program and his 'patented'
temperament and sound structure have passed down to his kids and
grandkids.
