Ever wondered what the definition of BRINDLE is?  Well, take one look at  'Marnier', and you need not look any further.  Brindle is a 'pattern' and not actually a color, and this boy is all about the pattern.

Of course, in this breed there is quite a variation in the color of the base coat, and the amount of stripes, so it can get kind of confusing since they are all referred to as 'brindle'.  There is black brindle, fawn brindle, red brindle, blue brindle, etc.

The breeding between our beautiful redhead, Red With Envy of Bullistik, and the extraordinarily handsome boy, Can. Ch. Albertaprides Cachet, was a match made in heaven and produced four stunning and very colorful kids; Rusty, Marnier, Cuervo, and Margarita. And, they were born on May 5th hence all the Cinco De Mayo party related names. 

'Marnier', like his super striped up brother, Cuervo,  are not the norm in the world of 'brindle' Frenchies, as many are the very dark or black variety with no pattern at all.  

When I bred Envy to Cash, I hoped for a lot of things; healthy pups, correct conformation, and yes, of course, at least one baby that had that beautiful and wild pattern like their sire Cash.

Well, needless to say it was quite the surprise to GET IT ALL in one fabulous litter!

Marnier is the perfect size for me, not over the standard but close enough to the top to be a manly man! 

He is short backed with a wonderful topline and tailset, a dynamite mover,  with a straight front, great rear, tight feet, dark eyes, correct ear shape and placement, lovely head and mask, great upsweep of jaw, flat face, and has that unmistakable WOW factor going for him!

Marnier, like his brothers, Cuervo and Rusty, did hit the show ring, and he is over half way to the finish line.  Unfortunately, Marnier, did not inherit the same "hey, look at me" attitude that his brothers got, so he does not derive much pleasure from being a show dog, and seems much more content living his life as a couch potato and hanging out with his mama, Terre Rigali.
